Become a 40 minute fundraise coordinator and help to fund Simakakata Community School in Zambia

We want to help the schoolchildren of Simakakata do more than just read and write. We want to help them to achieve their dreams.

The 40 minute fundraise will support Simakakata Community School in Zambia. Sonet is one of the 230 children who attend the school.

What is the 40 minute fundraise?

In Zambia a lesson lasts for 40 minutes. This May we are asking everyone to give up 40 minutes of their time to fundraise for Simakakata Community School. The money raised will be used to buy the raw materials needed for the final two classrooms and six teachers’ houses. The community will build the school themselves.

For example people will be getting sponsored to run for 40 minutes, donating 40 minutes of their salary, hosting cake sales and much more besides. Click here to learn more about the campaign.

Will you help to grow the campaign in your community?

LearnAsOne is a small charity with big ambitions. Will you help us grow the 40 minute fundraise in your local (or online) community? In simple terms this means inspiring your friends, colleagues, classmates or neighbours to set up 40 minute fundraise campaigns. We can offer you advice, tips, fundraising materials and support on our Community Forum. Later in the year we will return to the school and show you the money raised in action.

If you want to become a coordinator or find out more please email me at steve at learnasone dot org. Thanks.
