What is the 40 minute fundraise?
In Zambia a lesson lasts for 40 minutes. Will you fundraise for 40 minutes to fund new classrooms and teachers’ houses at Simakakata Community School? You can jump, busk, run, bake and much, much more. Learn more >

Could you tell one person about the 40 minute fundraise?

Are you reading this on the train? Break the habit of a lifetime and strike up a conversation with the person next to you. Fire up the ‘Will you donate 40 minutes of your time to fund a school in Africa?’ page, and run them through the idea.

Ask them to put the web address – www.40minutefundraise.com – into their phone and create a fundraising campaign. You might get a strange look. You might make a new friend.

It could be lunch time. Why not show the campaign to the girl or guy who sits opposite you?

Or maybe you’re about to head out for a night on the town with your mates. Wait for the night to get going then set everyone a 40 minute challenge. You could challenge Dave to attend a 40 minute meeting in drag. Challenge Vicky to overcome her fear of heights and do a sky dive. And who is the laziest of your friends? Set them the challenge to run five miles in 40 minutes.

You get the idea. It’ll take you less than five minutes and could lead to a big chunk of cash to buy raw materials for the new classrooms and teachers’ houses at Simakakata.

Thanks! x
