Host a school kid’s breakfast

Breakfast - the most important meal of the day!

In Africa it really is. Many kids can’t go to school because they’re hungry. Instead, they have to look for work so they can afford the occasional meal. LearnAsOne helps by providing children with a nutritious breakfast so they can spend their time learning instead.

What can I do?

You can help by getting together some friends or colleagues and hosting a breakfast fundraiser at work, your sports club or church.

Simple to arrange

Just set a time and date. Get in the teas and coffees, some OJ, a selection of cereals, maybe a croissant - or whatever gets the taste buds going. And ask everyone to make a donation so kids in the developing world can go to school.

How much does a breakfast cost?

It costs just 27p to provide a child in Africa with a nutritious breakfast that sets them up for a day of learning at school. It typically consists of porridge, fruit and a nice cup of milky tea.

How do I collect donations?

You can either set up an online fundraising page and share the link with your guests. Or you can download a sponsorship form (pdf) and send it along with a cheque to the address on the contact page. Please include your email address so we can thank you without wasting your money on an envelope, paper and stamp. Thanks.

Your photos

If you want to share the breakfast fun why not take some photos and upload them to the Facebook fan page for the whole LearnAsOne community to see?

Any questions?

If you have any questions about organising your breakfast please email fundraise at learnasone dot org with ‘Breakfast’ as the subject line, and help will soon be at hand.

Enjoy your breakfast!
